Day 8 took us back into Odense for another round of exploration.
We started off with a couple of geocaches to add to our geocaching objective and then to please the small child within Dan we went to the railway museum.
In the railway museum we learnt all about the beginnings of the DSB and the locomotives and rolling stock they used throughout the network. There was also a special exhibition about Inter-railing which we founds quite interesting since we were essentially inter-railing throughout Denmark. We of course had to have a ride on the miniature train with the mascots as well.
We grabbed some lunch from a bakery and then wandered over to the Museum of Odense to learn about the history of the city.
The museum had artifacts dating back to the bronze age and then all the way up to the cold war and modern era. The museum was a bit of a mish mash of everything everywhere and was hard to follow but still interesting.
We then headed over to the old irish pub to get a drink and sit in the nice air-conditioned bar to hide from the humid heat for a bit.
We got the bus back to base and had a quick cleaning spree ready to leave fairly early in the morning.

So long as the Big Child got his train trip xx lol
