Day 5 started with 2.5Km walk up to the office at Houens Odde to meet with the site team. We were greeted by Susanne who introduced us to our team leaders Victor and Betina. Reece and Dan went with Victor to do some strimming by the pontoon and then mowed the lawn by the Gilwell huts as well as weeding and trimming the hedges. Tom and Alfie went off with Betina to do some campsite check ups which included strimming the access to some of the campsites and clearing any over hanging branches and also letting Alfie loose on the ride on lawn mower.
After a solid mornings worth of work we came back up to the office for some lunch where we talked about the differences between UK sites and the Danish sites and how most of the Danish sites put the UK to shame.
We then carried on with our afternoons work before calling it a day at 3 and wandering back down to our campsite.
We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and watched the sun go down over the sea again for the last time at Houens Odde before heading to bed ready to be up at the crack of sparrows the next day.
