We had a productive day on day 3. We started with a morning briefing from Andy where we were assigned our task for the day. We were given the task of marking out a new nature trail around the site with wooden posts. Before we started we had a quick Danish breakfast of bread rolls and sliced meats, even being given a kettle full of water to make tea. Our task Leader, Preben, sat with us to show us the route we needed to mark out then we loaded up the trolley and wheel barrow with the posts and set to work. Preben showed us all the shelters and cabins they they’d built over the years as well as the best spot to watch the sunset over the lake. Our route took us through the woods and round on the banks of the lakes letting us take in the wonderful views over the lake and the smell of a forest fresh with rain it was like a different world.
We stopped for a lunch of grilled sausages and potato salad as well as a much deserved beverage before continuing on with our post bashing mission.
Having finished the route we returned for cake and beer/soft drinks and were very kindly given a Kulso Spejdercenter t-shirt and bagde as a thank you, as well as some shower tokens, and in return we presented them with an international knecker and district badge to put up in the centre.
After many rounds of Dan’s latest purchase, UNO No mercy, we made a tomato and salami spaghetti for dinner and then took a well earned shower before heading to bed ready to travel down to Kolding in the morning.
