On day 2 we faced a couple challenges. We learnt very quickly that busses don’t like running on Friday afternoons or on the weekend when we came to a stop in Skanderborg un able to catch a bus to Tebstrup to get to the highest point in denmark. So thinking on our feet we travelled back down to Vejle to have a look round and grab some food for dinner at Kulso. We stumbled on a small food festival and not having had lunch we felt obliged to try some of the cuisines on offer. We then caught our bus to Kulso and enjoyed the very scenic countryside of Denmark as we wound our way through little villages and fields before a brief walk to the site.
We cooked a con carne for dinner and got chatting to chair of the site and his team who were staying on site for the weekend to do some site maintenance. As we had no plans for the next day (and being basically stuck there because of public transport) we offered to help.
Having been told to meet them at half 8 for breakfast we headed to bed ready to be useful in the morning.
